Our three months at Land Belongs to Mother Earth were deeply enriching and heart-opening. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth by Eric and Joëlle, who embody a genuine, conscious, and natural way of living. Their land is a sanctuary of peace, simplicity, and connection, perched on top of a mountain with breathtaking views in every direction.
During our stay, we were immersed in a beautiful rhythm of daily life on the land. We learned so much from Joëlle’s extensive knowledge of permaculture, gardening, and food processing, as well as from Eric’s practical wisdom and grounded presence. Each task – from harvesting and tending the gardens to processing fruit and caring for the animals – felt meaningful and connected to a larger purpose.
Cooking for the yoga retreat was a highlight, as was joining activities like conscious morning walks and evening satsang. The retreat guests were a joy to meet, and the whole experience carried a sense of community and intention that we will always treasure.
We were grateful for our comfortable accommodation, with a private room, a cozy fireplace, and a fully equipped kitchen. Living so close to nature—surrounded by clean air, wildlife, and silence—was nourishing in every way. We took many walks and loved exploring the land and its surroundings.
Another unforgettable experience was harvesting olives during the season and tasting fresh olive oil—an incredible gift from the land.
Our time here has inspired us deeply. We leave with new skills, new perspectives, and a deeper appreciation for natural living. Land Belongs to Mother Earth is a place of authenticity, learning, and beauty, and we are grateful to have been a part of it.
We were happy to be conscious contributors!!
With love, Eve & Tiana
